When President Barack Obama arrives in Milwaukee for Monday's Laborfest rally, he'll be confronted by another troubling economic report that shows the toll the Great Recession has taken on America's workers. Only, this report isn't national - it's local.

Labor Day: A slight chance of thunderstorms, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. South southeast wind between 7 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 1 a.m., then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. East southeast wind 9 to 15 mph becoming south southwest. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. West southwest wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Parents with children at Tri-County School in Plainfield received a letter from school officials Friday alerting them to a small outbreak of German cockroaches at the school, and stating that exterminators ill be working to trap and bait the bugs over the weekend.
An entomologist told school leaders that the buildings food service areas were safe and unaffected, the letter states.
With the state primary election in eight days, Republican and Democratic candidates were busy shaking hands and listening to potential voters during the weekend at the Central Wisconsin State Fair.
